Dr. Sandra Buchanan has a long working association with The Meadows and has worked closely with Pia Mellody for much of that time. She is a Clinical Associate of Dr. Patrick Carnes, with whom she has worked for over a decade. Her postdoctoral diplomas include Advanced EMDR, EFT, psychodrama and sex addiction training.
She specialises in the treatment of trauma and its manifestation as addictions and compulsive behaviours, especially in the area of sexuality and high risk behaviours. She works with individuals and has both a mixed group for codependence issues and a men’s sex addiction group. She supervises professionals working with sexual and codependence issues.
